Marriage list in Igala kingdom
1. One basin of corn (done before the wedding day)

2. 12 tubers of yam (done before the wedding day)

3. Ten farm working days to determine if you can farm to feed the daughter. (First is 3 days, then, later is 7 days. Small money can be used now since farms are not done by everyone)

4. Two plates (drinking plate) of kolanuts (presented at the wedding; one for the father and one for the mother. Any amount of money can be on top of the kolanuts, but not less than 60 Naira)

5. Two cartons of beér or any drink for the guests.

6. Any other things you can add which is just optional. Clothes and box is between you and your wife to be. Very moderate, and our daughters are cultured, humble and hardworking. You can share your own side with us, someone might want to know.
