Chapter 10 (FINAL CHAPTER)

That thing was very painful. Immediately, I began to regret the fact that I gave birth to his child. He took me out of the room after introducing me as his girlfriend to the lady he was with.

He began to apologize and also lie but I was calm even though it hurts a lot. He took me home that evening and I couldn’t stop thinking about him.

I love Benjamin so much that I was ready to give myself any excuse for his wrong doings just to make myself feel better.

All advices from friends and family couldn’t penetrate my heart because I so much believe that he will change.

My child was the perfect and only real joy I had. She became the reason why I want to smile and enjoy myself. She became a blessing to my life. She was all I had and more than what I ever wanted.

Her birth was stressful, painful and regretful but I love her still.

Fast forward to today, she has grown a little and she keeps growing and I and Benjamin are still very much together after so much quarrels, break ups, make ups, misunderstandings etc we couldn’t find a way to let each other go because deep down, we knew the love we have for each other is very powerful. We knew we had our own faults and that we only should try and work towards cleansing ourselves.

He now takes full responsibility of his child and he showers her with so much love.

We are planning to get married once things gets even better with him.

It is at this juncture that I have decided to advise the teenagers and young ladies that are not ready for marriage, please don’t do anything that would tamper with your bright future.

Learn from the women around you. Having a child or children out of wedlock is a very bad thing and shouldn’t be encouraged.

Go to school, learn a skill and build yourself as a woman because not every guy is true to you about marriage and love.
