WHY IS YORUBA LAND BEING TARGETED BY IGBO?
WHY IS YORUBA LAND BEING TARGETED BY IGBO ?
“Why is it that only in Southwest Nigeria, Yoruba land, everyone in this country chooses to practice and test-run the so-called unitary system forced upon us by Aguiyi Ironsi and Ojukwu’s legacy? Why is Yoruba political space being deliberately targeted?”
I used to say it, and those who know me very well are very much aware that I don’t support any political party. What I’m concerned about is the interest and survival of Yoruba people as an ethnic-national because, as a Yoruba person, you must think Yoruba first in a multi-ethnic heterogeneous country like Nigeria.
That is why I respect President Tinubu for re-introducing the 1960 anthem, which upholds the fact that though tongue and tribe may differ in unity we stand, but nobody respects that boundary that makes us differ which is why the unity that should make us stand is suffering.
Something is really happening in Yoruba land, and it seems like our people don’t understand.
In the heartland of Awori people in the mushin area of Lagos state. An Igbo woman wanted to become the Deputy Chairman of your Local Government Area.
“Yoruba is the owner of Lagos just for two reasons which are your political power and economic power.
Due to the liberal nature that our people practice, which has made them appear like gullible persons, they have lost the economic power of Lagos to others who know the essence of being conservative.
Your economic power is already in the hands of a total stranger.
The only power that still makes Yoruba people owners of Lagos today is the political power, and non-state actors from the South East are already targeting it. Once the political power is hijacked, what else is left? Indigenous people without political power and economic power are a conquered, dominated people. Yes, that is just the truth we must tell ourselves.”
In the whole of Mushin local government area, there is nobody, no Awori of indigenous people, that can pick the slot other than giving it to a total stranger.
The unitary system that your forebears forced on us in this country you have refused to practice in your region, but Yoruba land is where you all want to practice it and have the shared cake of Yoruba people because they don’t believe liberal can also be a fool.
Yoruba politics is for everyone but their own politics is strictly reserved for the indigenous
In the whole of Mushin Itire lcda, no Yoruba woman is qualified to pick this slot; there is no Awori again in Lagos, and there is no indigenous Yoruba woman who is qualified. That is why you choose non-state representatives to serve the interests of your people.
Something is really happening.
Our people believe they can’t take Lagos; meanwhile, economic power is gone, and your political power is being targeted.
The one who controls the economic and political power of Lagos state owns Lagos ??
You have a population in Lagos, but that does not mean you own it when you don’t control your local market and politics.
Your politics is your power
