2023/2024 MATRICULATION CEREMONY
1. This is to inform the entire University Community and in particular all fresh students admitted in the 2023/2024 academic session, that Matriculation Ceremony for this set of students is scheduled to hold on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 10.00 a.m. prompt.
2. The venue is the University Auditorium, at Rumuolumeni Campus.
3. Accordingly, all fresh students are advised to ensure that they complete all registration formalities not later than Monday, March 11, 2024. Matriculation Numbers will be assigned to only those that have duly registered and paid all fees. Matriculating students should pay the sum of ₦11,000.00 (Eleven Thousand Naira) only as cost of hiring the Matriculation go own. All payments must be made on-line to Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni Port-Harcourt.
4. All fresh students should take notice that:
(a) Any student who fails to complete registration formalities and pay his/her school fees before the closure of the portal on Monday, March 11, 2024 ceases to be student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port-Harcourt.
(b) Only students who present evidence of payment of the gowns will be allowed to sign the Matriculation Register.
5. No unsigned Matriculation Number will be accepted for official documentation in the University.
6. Collection of Matriculation gowns from Faculty Officers would commence on Monday March 11, 2024.
7. All part-time students are requested to collect their Matriculation gowns from the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the St John’s Diobu Campus, but join their various Faculties in the procession and Matriculation.
8. Matriculation marks the end of registration for the academic session. Any student who fails to register before the Matriculation Ceremony will cease to be a student of the University as no registration will be allowed thereafter.
9. All academic gowns collected must be returned to the Faculty Officer latest on Wednesday March 21, 2024. Defaulters will be made to pay a penalty of ₦1000.00 ( One Thousand Naira) only per day.
10. Furthermore, all fresh students who have completed registration and paid school fees, should report at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre to be captured for identity card (ID) production.
