Amadou Oury Bah appointed as new Prime Minister of Guinea
Former Guinean Minister of National Reconciliation and ex-Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah has been appointed the country’s new prime minister, the Guinean presidency said on Wednesday.
Guinea’s transitional president, Gen. Mamady Doumbouya, dissolved the country’s transitional government on February 19.
“Amadou Oury Bah, an economist, appointed the new prime minister, head of government,” the presidency said on X.
His task will be to resolve the crisis with the unions behind a general strike which has paralyzed the country for two days.
