ASARI-TORU LOCAL GOVERNMENT OPENS BIDS FOR TENDER

The Asari-Toru Local Government has officially opened the bidding for the construction of a Town Hall in Sama Community, the rehabilitation of the Magistrate Court in Buguma, and the construction of four two-bedroom flats on one suspended floor for government officials.

Following the closure of the tender notice, the bidding exercise took place on Tuesday, 12th March, 2024, in the council’s Hall of Fame. The event was attended by stakeholders, bidders, representatives from MDAs, RSBoPP, and other participants. The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS, along with members of his cabinet, were also present.

During his address to the participants, the Executive Chairman emphasized the importance of following due process in all projects undertaken by the AsalgaFirst Administration. He assured bidders that the bidding process would be transparent, free, and fair.

Key highlights of the exercise included the display and opening of a tamper-proof bid box, the confirmation and examination of bids by bidders, the signing of commercial offer sheets by all parties involved, the signing of Anti-Bribery forms by bidders, and the counter-signing of bid documents by MDAs, bidders, RSBoPP, and other stakeholders.

This bidding exercise marks an important step in the development of Asari-Toru Local Government, and the administration is committed to ensuring that all projects are carried out with integrity and accountability.
