Iam still saying The Local is Lekker won’t take South African football anywhere “Regarding National Team Success)

From 1996 to 2002 South Africa had a very great Squad, Bafana Bafana reached The Afcon Finals twice,won Bronze , qualified to the World Cup Twice in 1998 and 2002..

You know why? This period South Africa had International Players playing in Europe. Leeds United, Atletico Madrid, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Everton etc. The players had exposure, the players were fit for the BIG Stage and the talent was there..

Ever since the SAFA delegates started pushing this local is Lekker agenda, it does not help the National Team in anyway it only helps Club Football. And there is also lack of Talent in South Africa to have majority of players plying their trades in Europe. That needs to be worked on!!!!

Since 2000 this is the time when South Africa managed to reach the Afcon Semi Finals, that’s 24 years ago, making matters worse since 2002 South Africa has never qualified to the World Cup Until they hosted it in 2010..

So what’s there to Smile about??

– Nigeria Best Players are in Europe

EUROPEAN FOOTBALL IS THE BEST FOOTBALL EVER ON THE CONTINENT AND NOTHING WILL TAKE THAT AWAY..

Make the PSL strong for CAF Football but produce quality footballers for International Level..

No Professional Footballer will choose playing DSTV PREMIERSHIP over EPL, Laliga, Bundesliga, Serie A, French Ligue 1, UEFA champions league, Uefa Europa League etc..
