CONFIRMED – TRIDENT RELEGATED FROM SUPER LEAGUE AFTER DEFEAT TO NKWAZI
Trident’s journey in the Super League has come to an end following their 3-1 defeat to Nkwazi. Despite managing three wins and twelve draws, their fifteen losses have proven too costly, relegating them back to the National Division One. This outcome though is better than the Record set by Mufulira Blackpool, who were also relegated without securing a single win.
Nkwazi, on the contrary, celebrated a significant victory that sees them trailing just two points behind fourth-placed Power Dynamos. This puts them in a promising position in the league standings.
Furthermore, with their maximum tally of 64 points matching that of ZESCO United and FC MUZA, pending the outcome of their match against FC MUZA, Nkwazi’s prospects for a higher league finish are looking bright and they can also hope for the second slot that will see them qualify for CAF Confederation Cup
