GOVERNOR SIM FUBARA: A VERY BOLD STEP

GOVERNOR SIM FUBARA: A VERY BOLD STEP

I was very excited when I received an invite to attend and witness the ground breaking/Flag-Off ceremony by His Excellency, Governor SIM Fubara of the construction of 20,000 housing units to be undertaken by the Government of Rivers State, in partnership with Pricewise Home Nigeria Limited.

My excitement was for a couple of reasons. Chief among the reasons is that as a player and a voracious stakeholder in the real estate sector, I am aware of the enormous benefits that will inure to the economy of the State and of course the catchment area of this extremely laudable project. As an ardent crusader of empowerment and employment for our citizens, I am aware of the bounce this project will provide our people in the short term as well the long term.

It is for these reasons and others that I sincerely commend His Excellency, Sir SIM Fubara for this step he has taken, to invest in the provision of affordable housing for the people – a key governance goal that was unfortunately abandoned in the last 8 years. This step is indeed a bold one and deserves a loud applause. Once again, His Excellency has provided copious evidence that he truly knows what is expected of him and that he is more than ready to meet those expectations. I cannot conceal my admiration for you, Your Excellency!

I join the overwhelming majority of well meaning Rivers people in saluting the Governor for embarking on this project and indeed for the seriousness and commitment with which he has so far discharged his functions as Governor of our dear State. Kudos, Your Excellency!
