HENSARD UNIVERSITY: BENEFITS OF FOUNDATIONAL EDUCATION

One of the novelties in HENSARD UNIVERSITY: is the mounting of foundational courses for students of the citadel of learning. This is in line with John Dewey’s principles of education with the primacy of the maxim that students learn by doing. This is the pragmatic flavour embedded in the foundational Educational programmes at HU. Without question, a firm foundation is essential for new advances and success in academic programmes.

Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) emphasizes the significance of foundational education In the University system Foundation Studies for Undergraduate programmes are designed to better prepare students for serious academic work Foundational Education is a solid alternative if students do not have the qualifications for immediate entry to a degree course. Upon completion of one year Foundational studies, students may progress to the first year of a degree course.

Regardless of the programme Foundational students at HU will learn the subject-specific skills that are required to embark upon undergraduate degree. This is in addition to help students meet entry requirements, and many guarantee students who complete (with required grades) a place in the first year of a degree Programme.
