HIGH SCHOOL GAME (SEASON 1)

CHAPTER 15

As the rain began to pour heavily on a lot of ceramic zincs, the sounds heard were like that of an animal skin drum being played with sticks on a rainy night.

All souls must have retired to their beds and probably were in a deep slumber but sleep was miles away from the faces of four different people.
Jason was up thinking about Star and what he did the night he invited her over. His conscience had been spanking him since then.

Yes, he wished he could correct it, but his friends were already involved. He felt so terrible for doing that to Star.

She was a sweet little soul with a beautiful heart and now he was in deep regret because sooner or later his deeds were going to be unfold and he knows for sure that it would break Star.

Yes, he wanted her broken, but not like this; in fact, not anymore.

Miss Fisher had gone for a sleep over at Mr. Greg’s family house so they could talk about the return of . . .

they knew already that his appearance comes with a lot of danger to so many people but this time he came in a strange way.

“He has never appeared to a student before the Camp Game” Mr. Greg said.
Miss Fisher had been thinking hard since that evening and neither of them had an answer or could even think of anything.

They all tossed from sides to sides on their beds till sleep came upon them like the anointing long waited for on the day of Pentecost.

I was up, thinking about nothing in particular. My mind was so clouded that it was difficult to point out the exact thing I was thinking of. It was just like you trying to pick out a needle from an ocean.

The light suddenly went off and everywhere became dark. Lying on my back, with my head up, to the ceiling, I let out a heavy sigh and turned to the windows to see how water was dripping from my window.

My gaze was fixed to the window, listening to the thunder claps and lightening. I had gotten a good enough stare and was about to turn when I notice something strange. I noticed that whenever there’s a thunder clap, my window locks would click.

I stood up and closed the windows still it clicked and open again all by itself. I stood up and close it again, but it clicked and open again and then I became terrified.

I almost peed on myself when I saw a man outside my window, staring directly at me. It was dark, so I couldn’t read his facial expression all I could do was to wait for the lightening to clap in order to see what he looks like.

But I had this odd feeling that it was that mysterious man, but what could he be doing under the rain and in my house?

Did he get drenched just to see me? A little boldness hit me from nowhere and then I started walking slowly towards the window to ask what the hell he wants with me, but then he brought out a knife and I immediately stopped walking.

The little boldness that was once in me suddenly disappeared and the next thing I heard was

“ahhhhhhh!!!!! . Mom!!!!” I wasn’t even sure whether it was me that screamed but I was very certain that it was my voice.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee hurriedly barged into my room, with Ryo running in behind them. They had heard me scream. My mother ran and held me in a hug.

“Baby what is wrong? Was it a nightmare?” she asked

“No Mom (I was shivering) there was a man over there and he was holding a knife” I said while pointing at the window badly terrified.

My Dad and Mom exchanged glances and then my Dad let out a sigh, feeling convinced that I just had a nightmare.

“Baby, it was just a dream, now go back to sleep” my Mom said and talked me back to bed before she placed a light kiss on my forehead and then they both exited my room leaving me alone with Ryo.

Ryo stared at me for a time and said “I can spend the night here with you if you want” I wanted to thank him and tell him how sweet of a big bro he was when he suddenly said “strange man with a knife huh??? I have told you to stop watching all those movies you won’t listen. Now see what you came up with, strange man with a knife.”

He laughed in a way that only his upper teeth showed as he left my room and then I was left alone again and then I tried hard not to think of anything.

Then I heard water dripping from my bed and then I immediately took my phone and turned on the torch just to see what was happening.

Right there on the floor were wet foot prints spreading from my room to the window and then back to my bed. This only means that what I saw outside the window few Moments ago was just a shadow and that was only his reflection because he was standing right beside me.

Immediately I saw him, I screamed and lost consciousness.
