HISTORY OF BOTTLED WATER IN NIGERIA;
The first organization to conceive the idea of manufacturing bottled water in Nigeria was Ragolis Waters Limited, the producers of RAGOLIS water and it has been in existence for over three decades producing high quality bottled water in Nigeria.
The company was incorporated in Nigeria in 1981 by the Chagoury Group and technically partnered with internationally renowned and respected French mineral water company, Societe Des Eaux De Volvic (makers of Volvic Mineral Water) from the outset. Production began in earnest in 1984, but the pioneer bottled water in Nigeria and indeed West Africa is SWAN water, a product of UAC group, it was rolled out in 1983 making it the first bottled water manufactured in Nigeria, Ragolis water got into the market in 1984.
