My mum still calls me at 2AM for coming late from my show – Singer Ayra Starr

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe better known as Ayra Starr has got many people talking online as she speaks about her mother’s great influence on her despite being an established artiste.

Ayra Starr, the “Rush” crooner made this known while featuring as a guest on Beat FM where she talks about her Grammy nomination, teasing a new album & her spending habits.

According to Ayra Starr, even though we are in the 21st century, her biological mother is still much an African mum.

Speaking on one of her experience with her mother, Ayra Starr during said that there is a bag she wanted to buy and she can afford it but she ends up not buying it because her mom will complain about spending too much on luxurious items.

Ayra Starr added that her mum used to call her by 2AM at her show asking if she is back home or not.

The Grammy-nominated singer further added that her mother will call her manager and her team to check on their safety several times after her shows.
