Here’s a look at a few Nigerian celebrities whose relationship hit the rocks in 2023.
Bolanle Ninalowo
Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, announced that he parted ways with his wife early this year.
He disclosed the sepreation from his wife of 17 years, on his Instagram page on September 1, as he admitted that it was a sad reality for him and his children.
BRed
Nigerian artiste, Adebayo Adeleke, and Davido’s cousin, also experienced a similar experience during the year.
BRed’s marriage to Faith Johnson hit the rocks in 2023 amid allegations of abuse and infidelity.
Though the wedding of B-Red and Faith was never known to the public, the lovebirds had claimed that they were married. While responding to a troll, Faith revealed that she was married to the singer and B-Red also confirmed their marital union.
The estranged couple, who had a son together, have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Bukola Awoyemi (Arugba) and Damola Olatunji
Popular Nollywood actress, Bukola Awoyemi, professionally called Arugba, separated from her husband, actor Damola Olatunji.
Announcing their separation via her Instagram page on May 30, the actress claimed she has never married actor Damola Olatunji. The couple are blessed with a set of twins.
Faridah Sobowale
Faridah Sobowale made headlines when news of her attempted suicide surfaced online.
The Lagos socialite attempted to end her life following the crash of her two-month-old marriage to her now-estranged husband, Demola Odulaja.
Odulaja, in an interview with Yoruba social commentator, ArewaTopeFamous on August 28, claim gave reasons why the marriage ended.
Israel Afeare ( Israel DMW)
The logistics manager to David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, Israel Afeare, also called Isreal DMW, late this year announced he had separated with his wife, Sheila.
DMW made the separation public via his Instagram account on November 25.
In his detailed account, Israel DMW revealed that Sheila left their home on August 8, 2023, despite his substantial support since their marriage.
