PDP Kick-starts Ward Campaigns in Yenagoa LGA
– As Hon. Bulodisiye Ndiwari receives royal blessings from Council of Chiefs
– Receives defector from APC
– Calls for unity in Biseni to foster development
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Yenagoa LGA today kick started it’s Ward campaigns for the election of chairman, vice and councillors of the LGA with a flag off at Ward 13, Biseni.
The campaign trail later went further to Ward 12, 14 and 15 where the incoming mayor was overwhelmingly received by the people.
Hon. Bulodisiye alongside his vice, Hon. Enize Josphine Omavie equally received royal blessings from Biseni council of Chiefs, Ibenanowei of Okordia clan and Ikilube of Zarama clan.
The campaign in ward 12 witnessed the defection of a strong APC youth leader, Comr. Kilemu Salvation back to the PDP, he said, he’s defecting because of the kind gesture of the governor for giving the chairmanship ticket to an illustrious son of Biseni kingdom. He also said he’s back to serve and to add value to the party.
He was received by the PDP chairman of Yenagoa LGA, Hon. Prince Otes and the assistant secretary of PDP, Hon. Barry Amaoru, who assured him of equal rights and privileges with other party members.
Speaking to the mammoth crowd in tuburu, Biseni, Hon. Bulodisiye said he knows the challenges of his people and he’s willing to work with them bring development to the kingdom but first, pleading that they should put whatever must have happened in the past behind so that Biseni can move forward, he also said he will call for dialogue to put a stop to the disunity in the kingdom when he assumes office.
Also speaking to his people in Zarama ward 15 and Okordia ward 14, the incoming mayor said he is committed to fairness in the use of council funds to attract development to every area it is entitled to.
High point of the campaign was the hand over of party flags to the councilorship candidates of Yenagoa ward 12, 13, 14 and 15 respectively.
