Somali President visits hospital following deadly hotel siege in Mogadishu
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, alongside the police chief, visited Erdogan Hospital in Mogadishu on Friday, where some of the officials and civilians injured in Thursday night’s al-Shabab attack on the SYL hotel are being treated.
At least three government soldiers were killed, and 27 others, including 18 civilians and three lawmakers, were wounded in the hours-long siege at the SYL Hotel, which is popular with government officials, according to the police.
