All these people or towns have their History handed down and well preserved including Igala traditions and Cultural festivals.
Creating Anioma State or moving it from Southsouth to Southeast does not change them from Igala to Igbo as you have been seeing their videos online. The Igala towns in southeast like Anambra, Enugu even speak Igala. It is to tell the world that southeast Nigeria is occupied by only Igbo but Igala too as the people were there before the state creation or various demarcations done by the colonialists. Anioma itself is not a word but an acronym like UNN or ABU. Hence, can’t be interpreted as a word of a particular tribe. Let the truth help us to learn not to use it to insult our tradition rulers. Peace!!!
