CHAPTER 7 (THE JOURNEY)

My dad knelt before the man on the alter and then he asked them to recite some words which they did but I was just there, watching what they were doing and I had no interest in any of it. I kept telling myself, if all of these were true, why is the man still around?

They finished praying and then everybody went back to their seats. We shared the grace and then we went home.

“You still aren’t convinced right?” My dad asked while he tries to sit down.

“Convinced? How?”

“Manan, I know deep within you, you know the church is right and the rapture thing is true. If not, what made billions of people to disappear all at the same time?”

“I don’t know. It may be alien invasion”

“Can you please elaborate?”

“The aliens may have visited earth with a sophisticated machine that was capable of taking off billions of people at once”

My dad began to laugh. I felt ashamed of myself even though I didn’t know why.

“Dad, what’s funny?”

But he kept on laughing.

“God in heaven, please help me. Your servant left us with a great deal of work to do as your church, as the tribulation saints. I am but a human and I need your help to be able to assist all your people against the terrible days ahead of us. In Jesus name. Amen”

My. Albert finished praying in the Pastor’s office and then he went to the book shelf in the office, picked the disc in which Pastor Titus had recorded some messages regarding the rapture before it even happened.

Mr. Albert watched the video alongside jotting on his special book. The more he wrote, the more he gets inspirations.

Pastor Titus was very precised in the video and it wondered Pastor Albert how he couldn’t benefit from such a great servant of God who was always available to him.

He went down memory lane and then he remembered how Pastor Titus invited him into the same office he is sitting down and how Pastor Titus encouraged him in the Lord. He warned him against secret sins and also told him that the rapture was coming soon but he pretended to be listening, only for him to go out of the Pastor’s office and continue in his evil ways.

And then he remembered his wife. How she kept pleading with him to repent genuinely and become a candidate for the rapture but he was so not ready to do anything and that was because he felt there was still plenty of time before the rapture not knowing that the rapture was coming quicker than he had expected.

Amongst the messages and directives Pastor Titus gave in the video, one thing stood out and that was when he said the church had to be united to fight against the Antichrist and it’s gonna be a heavy fight but must be done with wisdom.

He was distracted when his phone rang and then after dropping the call, he immediately rushed to switch on the television that was in the office.
