Who is Satan Lucifer’s mother and father?
(1.) According to the Holy Bible, there once was an angel named *Lucifer (now called Satan) who was designed and created by the Most High Jehovah God Yahweh. (Ezekiel 28:12-15) He was not born.
Of Princes… and their Principalities
(2.) *The biblical, Hebrew meaning behind the name *Lucifer *(Latin for “Son of the morning”, “Lightbringer”, “Shining One”, etc.) was inspired to the prophet Isaiah and later to the prophets Ezekiel and Daniel. Their words profile and compare a fallen angel with two prideful, human rulers. Isaiah’s lament was toward an unidentified Babylonian king (Isaiah 14:4-15). (Some say Nebuchadnezzar or some other.) Then in the next century, the prophet Ezekiel writes a prophecy against a certain King of Tyre (or Tyrus). This prophecy includes a reference to the influence of a demonic principality; a Prince of Tyre, (like the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Grecia; *Daniel 10:20) also pointing back to the prideful influence of *Lucifer. (Ezekiel 28:11–19)
* Note: Ezekiel knew of Daniel, referencing him by name in Ezekiel 14:14 and 28:3, and they were contemporaries living in Babylon during the exile, though it’s uncertain if they had direct personal contact. It was during this “crucible for Israel” that the Most High God raised these two men, and gifted them with a level of spiritual insight. Their writings explore the limitless spirit world of wheeled thrones of fire, creatures with mysterious features, angelic and demonic. All of these visions reveal enigmatic principalities and powers, working behind the scenes, and influencing the world since before the fall of Eden!
These two spiritual profiles contain both a prophecy of impending destruction for two human societies, and a tragic story about a glorious angelic being who rebelled against his maker. This angel WAS one of the most beautiful and anointed cherubim (high tier angelic beings). (Ezekiel 28:13-15)
The name Lucifer or “Helel” can be related to the verb “halal” (הלל), meaning “to shine” or “to praise” which may point to Lucifer’s former occupation. Was he designed to orchestrate worship of the Most High Jehovah God Yahweh? (Ezekiel 28:13) “…thy tabrets and the pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.”
WAR In Heaven?
(3.) Lucifer attempted a coup, causing a WAR in heaven! He and his followers were all defeated by the Prince angel Michael and his angels. They were all cast from heaven (Revelation 12:4, 7–9). Forever corrupted by the iniquity of his own pride, this *Lucifer became known throughout the Bible as Satan (adversary), the devil, *the old serpent, or the red dragon. (Job 1:6-12) + (Luke 10:17-18) + (John 8:44) + (Revelation 12).
* It is most important to understand the creator’s position when studying the problem of EVIL (theodicy). EVIL is a by-product of FREEWILL. All sentient creations possess a capacity for it. Instead of instantly obliviating Lucifer (the devil) and his cohorts, God’s plan actually puts evil to task, driving an untold myriad of ingenious ambiguities! So far, God has gradually revealed (unfolded) a series of probation periods or dispensations strategically planned across the ages of time. And while TIME is understood as the probation of mankind, ETERNITY is understood as the rewarding of mankind. Perhaps our only Most High and ALL WISE God created the temporal world to place a “CAP on SIN.” Eternal LIFE is only one of the many untold rewards of the righteous and not the unrepentant wicked. (John 3:16, 36) Therefore, it is perceived through the scriptures that even greater, vast ages of God’s goodness toward us are yet on the way! Paradise would be just the beginning! (Luke 23:43) + (Ephesians 2:6–8) + (1 Corinthians 2:9–11) + (2 Corinthians 12:1–4) + (Revelation 2:7) + (Ephesians 3:20-21)
* It is also important to note how Ezekiel 28 and verse 13 connects this angelic being to “Eden the garden of God.” The holy scripture also calls him *the old serpent — who first appeared in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3! (Common sense would logically dismiss any human kings or princes from ever having been in this garden other than **Adam and Eve. For certain, this angelic creature’s pride, hurt, and hatred of his maker, led him here… bent on revenge! He is now on earth, upon which he was cast – perhaps eons before the garden, confirming Jesus’ statement in Luke 10:18, and John of Patmos’ account in Rev. 12:9 and 20:2.)
** We should include that Adam and Eve were dressed in the glory of God BEFORE they rebelled.
Angels… and “Sons of God?”
(4.) The angels do not have “mothers” or “fathers” because there are no angelic male and female counterparts or “angelic marriages,” in heaven. Hence, there are no angelic mating activities. (*Matthew 22:30) + (Mark 10:6–8)
* Please note that Genesis 6:2 does list, “Sons of God,” but this verse does not mention if these “Sons of God” were indeed celestial beings. These beings are also mentioned in the book of Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7. (There may be a prebiotic, earth connection as to how these “Sons of God” are divine, or how they came to be on earth. And Satan, who fell from heaven, made an appearance among these “Sons of God.” Satan said that he was “… going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” ) And while he was among these “Sons of God,” notice that these scriptures do not indicate that these “presentation day(s)” did occur in heaven, and how exactly did these beings present themselves to their Creator. ( Keep in mind that everything is laid bare before God’s face. No creation can actually hide from the face of God! – Hebrews 4:13 ) Besides, even the high priests of ancient Israel have known God’s holy presence to react with and consume disobedience and deception. (Leviticus 10:1–2) + (Acts 5:4-10) Because of this, Satan and his associates prefer to keep their distance from heaven, and God’s fiery throne. There have good reason to absolutely fear Him! (Mark 5:7) + (Luke 10:18) + (Revelation 12:9)
* Also – we find the name “morning star(s)” in Job 38:7; another Christ-like reference to celestial beings or angels who were expressing their praise to God with SONG: “When the “morning star(s)” ( helel~s ) SANG TOGETHER, and all the “sons of God” ( Bənē hāʾĔlōhīm ) shouted for joy?” (Were these TWO separate beings?… OR… Why didn’t the Hebrew translators use the word Mal’ach for both the “Sons of God” and “Morning Stars” if indeed they were – just angels all together ?)
Then our Lord Jesus Christ gave us Matthew 22:30. He used the pivotal phrase, “… ‘angels of God’ in heaven.” (Their place of origin is just as important as their identification.)
This Lucifer did not have a mother. This Lucifer had an awesome maker.
