The Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter and South-South zone, His Youthfulness, Amb Ihunwo Chijioke has asserted that the people of Obio-Akpor local government area will support Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the Executive Governor of Rivers State, stressing that Sir Sim represents the younger people, Sir Sim represents peace and unity.
The Chairman made the assertion at Sir Siminalayi Fubara solidarity meeting held at ward 12, Rumuigbo, in Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State.
Addressing the people, the Chairman stated that the overwhelming solidarity gathering on the 30th of October, 2023 by the people of Rivers State in front of Rivers State Government House demonstrated the genuine love the people of the State have for Sir Siminalayi Fubara and confirmed that indeed Rivers people voted for Fubara and we will stand by it.
The Chairman lauded the Governor for prioritising the welfare of the civil servants by giving them Christmas bonus. He stated that it is the first in the history of the State for such huge amount to be sent to Rivers workers. Saying that it shows the level of love Fubara has for the people that instead of using the money to play politics or engaging in frivolities he choose to reach out to the State workers.
The Chairman called for continuous support and prayers for Sir Siminalayi Fubara because he means well for Rivers people and he is poised to do that which Rivers people elected him to do irrespective of the distractions.
He assured the people of ward 12 that as the wind of change is blowing, Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s administration known for it’s responsiveness will not neglect them. That his administration will definitely reach out to ward 12 Obio-Akpor.
The Chairman stated emphatically that Ikwerre has become governor for more than sixteen years and this is the time for a riverine man to be Governor, calling on the people to come out and give Sir Fubara the necessary support and say no to those who don’t mean well for the State.
